AFHeartbeat Trigger
Entries
Fired on a UIApplication/Activity foreground transition.
Fired as a ride-along inside an existing geofence transition (Enter / Exit / Dwell). The process is already awake and a fresh location is already in hand, so the heartbeat adds only the network round-trip — no extra wakeup, no extra GPS warmup. Uses a longer throttle than FOREGROUND to cap bursts when a member rapidly enters and exits a region.
Fired in the background by a significant change in the device's location (iOS significant-location-change service, Android low-power location updates) while location sharing is on. This is what keeps the server-side geofencing informed when the member is away from their gyms, without GPS polling. Uses the background throttle.
